We are delighted to say that so far over 110 people have already either newly joined or re-joined KTC for the 2012 season. We hope that all our members from last year will make sure to make all our new members feel right at home in the club during 2012! If you have yet to rejoin or know of anyone else who would like to join, make sure to get them to check out our website ---> http://kilkennytriathlonclub.com/join-us Please note, that any members from 2011 that do not rejoin before the end of February will be deemed to be no longer members of Kilkenny Triathlon Club and will be removed from club email communication
The launch for the KTC Duathlon at Mount Juliet took place Monday 30th Jan on the grounds of Mount Juliet and, amazingly, once the event went live for online entry on Wednesday morning 1st February all 170 of the spaces were taken within 18 hours! If you happen to be one of the lucky ones to get in to the event make sure to check out our race webpage for all event info ---> http://kilkennytriathlonclub.com/training-and-events/ktc-duathlon Thanks as well to all our members who have offered to help volunteer on the day!

ENABLE IRELAND FITNESS CHALLENGE
On Saturday and Sunday the 24th & 25th March in association with Michael 'Ducksy' Walsh there is a fitness challenge to generate much needed funds for Enable Ireland here in Kilkenny. The event is being held in the Leisure centre in Hotel Kilkenny. We have been asked to enter one team (or two if the interest is there) in this charity event and we are looking for members to represent us. Members who participate will be given a sponsorship card which they will be asked to sell as many lines as possible to raise money for this worthy cause. For more info on this event and how to put your name forward please click on the following link ---> http://kilkennytriathlonclub.com/club-news/news/172-enable-ireland-fitness-challenge-2012
Triathlon Ireland have issued a note for all Irish Tri Club members on how to go about representing Ireland at the European and World Championships for 2013. For those who didn't get entry to our club duathlon, don't worry! There are plenty of races taking place over the next couple of months before the main Triathlon season starts, namely the Naas Duathlon (19th Feb), Carrick-on-Suir Duathlon (26th Feb) and the Du the Hook Duathlon (18th March). Make sure to check out the club race calendar to see what races are coming up ---> http://kilkennytriathlonclub.com/training-and-events/calendar

CLUB SPONSORS 2012
We would again like to thank all our 2011 sponsors for coming back (Sherwoods, Watershed, Mint and Marble City Physiotherapy) and our 2 new sponsors for joining us in 2012 (Wheelworx and Holden Brothers). They have some great offers available to club members so check out our MEMBERS OFFERS page on the club website! http://www.kilkennytriathlonclub.com/members-area/members-offers
Although we have run, cycle and swim training on offer we urge all members to use our Facebook page and our Club Forum (http://kilkennytriathlonclub.com/forum/) to post when they are doing their own training and looking for some extra people to train with! We hope this will prove a great way for members to really get to know each other and for those new to triathlon to learn from following the more experienced members of the club
