Looking for a Challenge in 2011? Kilkenny Triathlon Club launches!

30 January 2011

club_set_upIf you are tired of making the same old New Year's resolutions and want to set yourself the ultimate fitness challenge, then why not join Kilkenny's newest club, the Kilkenny Triathlon Club?  By doing so, you will be able to take part in what is now the fastest growing sport in the world, nowhere more so than in Ireland with over 50 Triathlon Clubs in Ireland and over 130 officially registered races per year on the Triathlon calendar.

Following the success of the inaugural Kilkenny Triathlon in July last year and the strong local participation in the event it became immediately apparent that there was a desire to set up a club locally to meet the needs of all local budding triathletes. And so finally, the time has come as The Kilkenny Triathlon Club will be officially launching on Thursday 13th January at 8pm in Hotel Kilkenny.

Emmet McAviney, Chairperson of the new club is excited about the launch of Kilkenny's first ever Triathlon Club. "I have been involved in the sport myself for a number of years and am delighted that there is now a club in Kilkenny where those who are either already involved in the sport and those who are completely new to the sport, and would love to try it out can train and participate in races together.

"Anyone is who is interested in the sport, even completely new to it, is welcome to come along to the launch night where you will get more information on the club and meet the committee members who will be happy to answer any of your questions. Everyone is aware of the health benefits associated with regular exercise, so what better way to improve your fitness and lifestyle this year than a triathlon," he added. "Essentially we in the Kilkenny Triathlon Club want all club members to be able to find a level of training that suits them and have a bit of craic and even make some new friends while doing it."

The aim of the Kilkenny Triathlon Club is simple; to introduce people of all ages and ability to the combined sports of running, biking and swimming; to promote a healthy lifestyle and to provide the highest quality training, support and advice to help get you over the line.

The cost of joining the Kilkenny Triathlon Club is €30 which will enable you to avail of a number of benefits including; exclusive offers from our sponsors, discounted gym membership at the Active Club in Hotel Kilkenny, the Springhill Hotel leisure centre and The Ormonde Hotel Leisure Centre, training on the Athletics track at the Watershed every week, road cycling sessions, and spin and core classes in the Active Club in Hotel Kilkenny, which are free to members of the Active Club.

The Kilkenny Triathlon Club will also be offering discounts on Triathlon Racing Gear to all members, plus it puts you in contact with all the other like minded people in the Kilkenny area!

Other than aforementioned, screening agencies are government
registered firms; therefore, these organizations are absolutely trustworthy.

It also leaves the employee with limited options and ineligibility for unemployment
benefits in the US. Most individuals now gather
this type of account for employment purposes.
