Hi all,

Having quickly established itself as one of the best run sportives in the country after just 2 years, Marble City Cyclers are delighted to announce that they are running the third Tour de Kilkenny on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend, 30th July 2011 in aid of Barretstown, a charity aimed at rebuilding lives affected by childhood cancer. After raising over €6,500 from the 2nd TdeKK in 2010, MCC are hoping that with your help, we can raise even more much-needed funds for this excellent charity and their good work in 2011.

The 160km and 110km leaves together at 9am, while the 70km and 40km leaves at 11am. There will be waterstops along the way (two for the 160k, one for the 110km, 70km and 40km route), while there will be a food stop in Listerlin NS for the 160km and 110km participants. The 110km would be good training for anyone considering doing the Half Ironman in Galway in September!

The sign-on is on Friday evening from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday morning from 7am to 8.30am, both times at the Kilkenny Rugby Club on the Waterford Road. Online registration is now open until Wednesday midnight (sign-on will still be required) for only €22* and will guarantee you your goody bag! And remember - ALL fund raised is in aid of Barreststown Children Camp.
